The
caustic system is representative of the many enhancements
J.F. White has performed at the Massachusetts Water
Resources Authority's Deer Island Thermal Power
Plant. With the addition of a new pump and associated
piping, along with the necessary controls, the
caustic is now delivered directly from the bulk
storage tank to the Fuel Gas Desulphurization system
day tank. Prior to this enhancement, plant personnel
were required to wear cumbersome protective suits and
manually transport the caustic.
J.F. White purchased and installed the required
equipment and controls, performed start-up and instructed the
owner's personnel in the proper methods to operate and
maintain the system.
Projects of this nature are indicative of J. F. White's
ability to draw on the expertise of its various divisions to meet
the client's specific needs.
