MBTA 6 Station Security Improvements

J.F. White was contracted by the MBTA to upgrade the existing security at Andrew, Charles/MGH, Harvard, JFK/UMASS, Kendall/MIT and Porter Stations.

The upgrade to the security system included real time video system that works in conjunction with the existing VidSys system and existing MBTA CCTV System.

The work under this contract consisted of the installation of 48 new high definition CCTV cameras, 14 new Access Control Panels and 156 door access controls. This also required the installation of new conduit raceway system, low voltage cable and fiber optic cable to complete the new system.

J.F. White was also required to participate in the certification testing process with the MBTA Safety Department.
