The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority contracted J.F. White Contracting to furnish and install the finish work at Ashmont Station. This included painting of the platform center wall and rooms, tile and granite work in the two head houses, new lighting, stainless steel wind screen, glazed window walls, stainless steel column covers, new ground face block wall on the platform and in the lobbies, bird controls, new signage, miscellaneous electrical work, ornamental fence, new retaining wall and landscaping.
The work was performed during regular business hours and had to remain open for revenue service at all times. This required J.F. White to stage our construction work to allow for the service not to be disrupted.
Contract value: $9,830,000. |
