Project Highlights:
  • 3000 AMP 277/480V Switchgear
  • Zero injuries
  • All Phasing Designed by
    J.F. White.
  • Work performed in an occupied
    hotel.

J.F. White was contracted by the Pacific Boston Holdings
Corporation, owner of the Langham Hotel Boston to replace the
existing switchgear and associated distribution panels.

J.F. White developed a detailed design and phasing
drawings that allowed the equipment to be replaced with the

walked through a fourteen step sequence to completion. Each
milestone was achieved early or on time with no unscheduled
loss of power.

Included in our scope of work was the replacement of
existing ductbank and feeder cable originating from the three
sidewalk utility vaults. J.F. White Civil Division performed the
demolition, excavation, backfill, and sidewalk restoration work in
close coordination with the many City of Boston departments.
                                                                    Total value: $1,400.000.
