Harvard Chapel

J.F. White was selected to help bring to life Moshe Sadfie’s masterpiece Chapel in the heart of the Harvard Business School Campus. This cast in place, architectural concrete chapel is just breathtaking. The Chapel’s smooth walls, atrium garden, prism lighting and internal waterfall create a sense of serenity and peace.

J.F. White’s crews spent much time and care fabricating each form to provide this Chapel’s architectural finish. To achieve this finish, J.F. White applied special form liners to each custom 5-foot form and gave extra care when applying the form release agent to the panels in order to perfect the wall texture and color. Each 5-foot wall section was designed and built to stand feely without the use of ties. Only a foam gasket with a silicone sealant was used to create a watertight joint.

The Chapel shows J.F. White’s ability to work closely with architects and designers to create architecture that is not only functional, but is also aesthetically pleasing.
