
The project consists of roadway construction on
a new alignment of Route 146 in Worcester for
approximately 0.83 miles and of adjacent roads for
1.28 miles.
Demolition of roadways, parking lots, and
a portion of the Rome Building are included in the
scope. The completed project will include 5 highway
bridges, retaining walls, excavation and embankment,
bridge formwork and concrete placement, paving and
site finishes, traffic signals, lighting, drainage,
landscaping, environmental mitigation, and
maintenance of traffic.
Other important operations include 1670 LF of
precast culvert installation, drilling and blasting for
rock removal, and steel and precast beam erection for
bridges. Work is performed near active roadways and
active rail lines.
