Welcome to J.F. White Contracting Company

J.F. White Contracting Company is a multi-disciplined contractor, with strengths in heavy/civil, design/build, electrical, mechanical, marine construction and deep foundation systems. We bring engineered solutions to complex projects of all sizes, whether public or private. We bring superior management and skilled craftsmen to every job. Safety, quality and schedule are bedrock elements of the planning and execution of our work. We seek to provide a collaborative working environment in which all parties share equally in the success of the project.

In 2014, J.F. White Contracting Company became a Dragados USA affiliate when it was acquired by the ACS Group, an international construction and engineering organization. The acquisition was executed by Dragados Construction USA, a Dragados company, which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Spanish construction firm.

Our History

Our company has a long and proud history as a leader in the Northeast’s heavy/civil construction industry. From 1918, when Joseph F. White Sr. bought his first truck, through the construction of Storrow Drive and the Charles River Dam, to Deer Island and the mammoth Central Artery/Tunnel project, J.F. White has played an indispensable role in the region’s progress.

Our Philosophy

Our formula for long-term success relies heavily on our ability to recognize future trends, adapt quickly to changing markets, build internal capability in all job-required engineering disciplines, and execute with the proficiency, safety and quality we have for which we are known. Working in the owner's best interest has always been our guiding beacon, and has proven to be in J.F. White's long-term interest as well. We pride ourselves on the individual talents of each of our managers and workers, who create a true sense of team accomplishment when called upon to deliver on a project.

A Reliable Partner and Good Citizen

Delivering for our clients is what J.F. White Contracting Company has always been all about. Very few projects in the heavy/civil arena attain completion without issues arising related to as-bid design vs. as-built construction. In resolving such issues, our approach is to embrace the design partner as one of the key success elements. We have established an enviable track record of forming positive working relationships with owners, designers, subcontractors, labor, and the occupants and neighbors of impacted work zones.
