J. F. White Contracting was subcontracted to install new steel sheet seawall bulkhead, windmill foundation and wood piles for building foundations for the renovation and construction of approximately 400 new residential condominium units with some 20,000 SF of mixed commercial use and the rehabilitation and remediation of some 18 acres of land and the conversion of an existing industrial facility at One Forbes Street in Chelsea.  The seawall bulkhead consisted of a tieback system using fiberglass deadman sheets and double channel walers with tie rods.

Additional work included the construction of a 33' x 33' x 17' windmill foundation within a sheeted cofferdam. Work included driving the sheets, excavation and placing flow fill as the base slab.

J. F. White also installed a Mabey Bride over the MBTA commuter rail.  This bridge was constructed and prepared on the north approach of the park. The bridge was then launched over the commuter rail line during off peak hours and set in position.

                                                                                       Contract value: $1,100,000.
