Brook House Bldg D Corridor Fan Unit and Pipe Riser Replacement

Job Highlights:

  • Multidisciplined Team
  • 39 Fan Coil Units replaced and Electrically Wired
  • 1700 Linear Feet of Pipe replaced
  • 45 New Drywall Enclosures

As part of a complete renovation to the complex’s aging HVAC system, Brook House Condominiums contracted J.F. White to replace the Pipe Risers and Fan Coil Units in the D Building Corridors.

The scope of this project included the demolition of the current steel piping system and FCU’s, the installation of the new brazed copper piping system and FCU’s, electrical wiring of the FCU’s and thermostats, and the carpentry work required to enclose the piping behind drywall enclosures.

This project required several different trades. JFW was able to provide its own experienced pipefitters, electricians, laborers, and carpenters. This approach allowed the owner’s representative to reliably resolve any daily scheduling conflicts and tenant concerns that are inherent with working in an occupied space.

Several design conflicts were discovered during the project. JFW was able to provide the owner and engineer solutions to these issues that were incorporated into the future segments of the renovation.

Using an experienced, multidisciplined team J.F. White was able to provide the owner a sound installation while minimizing impact to tenants and overcoming design challenges.

Contract Amount $365,000.
